This study examines the phenomenon of symbolic violence within the university environment and its impact on students’ sense of alienation. Drawing on Pierre Bourdieu’s sociological perspective, it explores subtle forms of domination embedded in academic practices. Using a descriptive approach, data were collected through a questionnaire administered to a random sample of fifty students at Ziane Achour University in Djelfa. The findings reveal perceptions of discrimination, favoritism, and verbal practices that contribute to students’ marginalization. The study concludes that certain interaction patterns within the university may reproduce symbolic domination and reinforce students’ feelings of alienation..
