The Use Of Ai Translators In Developing Reading Comprehension Performance: The Case Of First-year Students Of English At Batna 2 University

Abstract
This study investigates the attitudes of first-year students of English at Batna- 2 University towards the use of AI translators in improving their reading comprehension skills. A survey questionnaire was administered to 120 participants using a convenience sampling technique to gather data on their perceptions, experiences, and preferences regarding the use of AI translators in their English language learning. The results indicate that the majority of students have a positive attitude towards the use of AI translators, recognizing their potential benefits in enhancing reading comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and overall language proficiency. However, the study also highlights the need for guidance and training to ensure the effective and responsible use of these tools. The findings suggest that integrating AI translators into the curriculum, while addressing potential challenges, could significantly improve the reading comprehension skills of first-year students of English at Batna 2 University.
