A Comparative Study Of The Level Of Sports Culture Among Secondary School Students Engaged In Educational Sports Activities And School Dropouts: The Case Of Bodybuilding

Abstract
This study investigates the level of sports culture among secondary school students engaged in educational sports activities compared to school dropouts, using bodybuilding as a model. A randomly selected sample of 20 participants—10 active students and 10 dropouts—was drawn from bodybuilding gyms in Tebessa. Employing a descriptive methodology and a structured questionnaire, the study analyzed differences across interest, knowledge, and continuity dimensions. Results showed minor variations in interest toward bodybuilding, with enrolled students displaying slightly higher engagement. A more pronounced difference emerged in the cognitive dimension, favoring students participating in educational sports. However, both groups demonstrated similar tendencies regarding the continuity of bodybuilding practice. Overall, the findings suggest that while schooling contributes modestly to knowledge acquisition, intrinsic motivation and personal interest remain key factors influencing sustained participation in bodybuilding. تبحث هذه الدراسة في مستوى الثقافة الرياضية بين طلاب المدارس الثانوية المشاركين في الأنشطة الرياضية التعليمية مقارنةً بالطلاب المتسربين من المدارس، باستخدام كمال الأجسام كنموذج. تم اختيار عينة عشوائية من 20 مشاركًا - 10 طلاب نشطين و 10 طلاب متسربين - من صالات كمال الأجسام في تبسة. باستخدام منهجية وصفية واستبيان منظم، حللت الدراسة الاختلافات عبر أبعاد الاهتمام والمعرفة والاستمرارية. أظهرت النتائج اختلافات طفيفة في الاهتمام بكمال الأجسام، حيث أظهر الطلاب المسجلون مشاركة أعلى قليلاً. ظهر فرق أكثر وضوحًا في البعد المعرفي، لصالح الطلاب المشاركين في الرياضات التعليمية. ومع ذلك، أظهرت كلتا المجموعتين اتجاهات مماثلة فيما يتعلق باستمرارية ممارسة كمال الأجسام. بشكل عام، تشير النتائج إلى أنه في حين أن التعليم يساهم بشكل متواضع في اكتساب المعرفة، إلا أن الدافع الجوهري والاهتمام الشخصي يظلان عاملين رئيسيين يؤثران على المشاركة المستدامة في كمال الأجسام.
