Abstract: This is a cross-lagged study aiming at examining Perceptions of English ‎Students ‎‎(Y2) at the Department of English regarding the Impact of Directionality on ‎their ‎Translation and Interpreting Performance Quality. Based on a ‎positivist paradigm ‎and an empirical design, case study and ‎survey methods are used. As for Statistics, ‎It is SPSS and R-powered. The sample consists in 286 students who were enrolled ‎in three academic ‎years 2015-2016, 2019-2020 and 2021-2022. The latent ‎variables directionality and self-‎concept in the research question were measured ‎through their self-construed perceptions ‎regarding Arabicization in S3 and ‎Englishization in S4. The results revealed that the students ‎do not perform with ‎the same quality. The Logistic Model revealed their need for ‎Arabicization. ‎
