This research investigates the impact of digital financial literacy (DFL) on financial well-being, proposing a standardized definition that synthesizes technical skills with consumer behaviour. Adopting a quantitative exploratory design, the study analyses the Algerian context through the 2025 Global Findex database. The findings uncover a significant behavioural paradox: while the population reports high perceived financial resilience, there is a selective and cautious adoption of digital financial services. This is characterized by a preference for low-risk instruments, such as digital savings, contrasted against a deep-seated reluctance toward higher-risk digital borrowing. By focusing on the underexplored Algerian market, the study provides a vital empirical foundation for policy formulation and future academic inquiry into digital adoption within emerging economies.
