Sustainable Entrepreneurship And Eco-innovation: Lessons From Pioneering Entrepreneurs

Abstract

A new type of entrepreneurship is attracting greater interest from researchers, as scientists and public and private stakeholders focus on the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) sector. This paper examines how innovation shapes sustainable entrepreneurship, particularly responsible and eco-innovation. Although sustainable entrepreneurship is not the same as the Social and Solidarity Economy, both aim for social and environmental goals. Using an exploratory qualitative approach, this study aims to better understand how innovation is used in businesses focused on sustainability through case studies and interviews with French sustainable entrepreneurs.
