This research aims to analyze the legal and jurisprudential foundations that governed educational endowments in the Islamic West, exploring the legislative and social dimensions through the Nawazil in "Al-Mi'yar." It examines how Maliki jurists addressed administrative and financial challenges, highlighting the role of fiqh as a tool for good governance and defining rights and obligations. The analysis reveals that endowment was not just a funding mechanism but an integrated system for resource management, shaping scholarly elites, and ensuring educational autonomy. The research highlights jurisprudential flexibility in balancing founders' conditions with changing realities, offering heritage-based insights for contemporary endowment challenges.
