Nawāzil And Political Governance In Al-wansharisi’s Thought

Abstract
Examines this study the concept of Nawāzil and its significance in the management of the political sphere through the jurisprudential analysis of Ahmad al-Wansharisi, as one of the eminent scholars who grasped the transformations of reality and the dilemmas of governance within a renewed horizon of ijtihād. The study begins by defining Nawāzil as unprecedented issues that necessitate a specific juristic application attentive to the complexity of political reality and the transformations of human society within the structure of Islamic governance. Reveals the analysis the manner in which al-Wansharisi formulated a political vision grounded in the flexibility of ijtihād, the centrality of justice, and the effectiveness of shūrā in confronting emerging circumstances. The study also addresses the foundational conditions of sound political management, highlighting a set of leadership qualities that a ruler should embody, foremost among them integrity, wisdom, and the ability to achieve equilibrium between text and reality. Addresses the research as well the function of the fatwa as a juristic mechanism for producing practical solutions to contemporary Nawāzil, while emphasizing its adaptability to social transformations and the changing conditions of time and place. Through the invocation of historical examples and the discussion of the contemporary extensions of al-Wansharisi’s thought, the study concludes that his jurisprudential principles still possess interpretive and normative capacities that enable them to contribute to addressing the dilemmas of contemporary governance within a coherent Islamic juridical framework
