Promoting Entrepreneurial Culture Among Graduates Of Physical And Sports Sciences And Technologies In Algeria

Authors : Ghelloudj Abdellah .

Abstract

Entrepreneurship has become a key driver of economic development due to its role in job creation, reducing unemployment, and strengthening the economic structure through small and medium-sized enterprises. In Algeria, special attention has been given to start-ups as a strategic alternative to the rent-based economy, supported by financial incentives and legal facilities. However, entrepreneurship in the field of Physical and Sports Sciences and Technologies remains limited, as graduates tend to rely on traditional employment rather than pursuing entrepreneurial initiatives, despite the availability of promising opportunities in the sports sector. This study aims to highlight the government mechanisms supporting entrepreneurship and to clarify entrepreneurial concepts among graduates of Physical and Sports Sciences and Technologies institutes. It seeks to identify the main mechanisms that promote an entrepreneurial culture and encourage graduates to shift from a job-seeking mindset to business creation. The study is structured around three main axes: the theoretical foundations of entrepreneurship, start-up support mechanisms such as business incubators, and the practical steps for establishing a start-up.
