This study analyzes the operational reality and challenges faced by Islamic banking windows within traditional Algerian banks. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study gathered data through in-depth interviews with a purposive sample of five expert managers from Islamic windows operating in the Bordj Bou Arreridj. The collected data was rigorously analyzed using the Nvivo 14. Key findings reveal that Algeria's Islamic banking experience is in its early stages but shows promising growth driven by increasing customer demand. While Sharia compliance is generally robust, significant challenges persist. These include difficulties in attracting sufficient capital due to customer unfamiliarity, a shortage of specialized human resources, and profit margins that render Islamic products less competitive.
