The Role Of Health Waqf In Supporting Healthcare –the Case Of Enayah Health Association-

Abstract
This study aims to explore the vital role played by health endowments in supporting healthcare, relying on the descriptive-analytical method and a case study of the Enayah Health Association in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The findings reveal that endowment has evolved from its traditional historical models—which contributed to healthcare by establishing bimaristans (hospitals), providing medical services to the poor, and developing medical education systems into modern institutional forms exemplified by the Enayah Health Association. The Enayah Health Association is considered a pioneering organization in the healthcare sector through its diverse projects encompassing treatment, prevention, and awareness. The association adopts innovative and sustainable endowment-based financing mechanisms such as investment endowment funds, strategic partnerships, and sound governance practices
