Algeria is currently confronting a significant proliferation of irregular migration, functioning both as a transit country and, increasingly, as a destination for settlement. This phenomenon has engendered numerous adverse repercussions across economic, social, cultural, security, and even religious spheres, posing a considerable threat to the nation's stability. Consequently, Algerian authorities, drawing upon international mechanisms and inspired by global experiences and efforts, have expedited the adaptation of their legal and regulatory frameworks and security apparatus to effectively counter this phenomenon and rapidly adapt to evolving dynamics, particularly those concerning the entry, residence, and movement of foreign nationals within the country's borders.
