Abstract
Abstract: The research paper aims to understand the nature of the relationship between bullying as a social phenomenon, on the one hand, and the production of power, on the other, as well as to reveal the manifestations of bullying in the Ouarglafamily (the study subject) and its indicators in the studied social reality, or the one covered by the field study. The field of our study was the bullying present in some Algerian Ouargla families, specifically within the family setting, targeting a sample of women. On the theoretical level, we started from Bourdieu’s perspective on symbolic violence to understand the mechanisms used by actors in the family as a social field to reproduce themselves and produce social power, and to identify the theoretical indicators of bullying and understand its social connotations. Methodologically, we relied on the Method of comprehensionapproach, which is based on qualitative analysis, due to its suitability for the nature of the topic. This approach allows us to understand the nature of the phenomenon and how it forms and reforms within interactive social fields in general, and the specific interactive social field under study in particular, using the interview tool with a group of families. We reached a set of results, some of which related to the forms of bullying practiced by Ouargla women, and others related to the characteristics of the female bully
