Authors : Larbi Hadjam .

Abstract

This study aims to explore the socio-economic impacts of freelance professions on women's entrepreneurship in Algeria. Field observations have revealed that women have made significant progress in enhancing their roles in social, economic, and political spheres, overcoming many obstacles thanks to education. The study employed a descriptive approach, case study technique, and observation, utilizing official statistical data from relevant institutions such as ANGEM and NESDA, along with a sample of 45 women collected using the snowball sampling technique. The results showed that family plays a vital role in the success of women entrepreneurs by providing financial and moral support. Recent changes in Algeria have also pushed women towards freelance professions as a means to combat unemployment, as they invested in small projects with limited capital. However, the study encountered social, economic, and administrative challenges that affect their professional progress.
