Knowledge Management In Higher Education Institutions: Requirements And Challenges

Abstract

Knowledge has become the most important organizational resource through which institutions achieve their objectives. As higher education institutions are knowledge-intensive organizations engaged in the production, dissemination, and application of knowledge in the fields of teaching, scientific research, and community service, they are required to adopt knowledge management as a modern administrative approaches. This research paper aims to present the different concepts related to knowledge management in higher education institutions, as well as the rationale and requirements for its implementation, the challenges it faces, and a set of recommendations to address these issues.
