This study aims to analyse the Russia-Ukraine war through the lens of Alexander Dugin's Neo-Eurasianism, by revealing the intellectual and geopolitical references of the war in order to understand its causes and objectives. Following a methodological approach consisting of a historical approach, a descriptive approach, an analytical approach, and a geopolitical approach to interpret the dimensions and implications of the war according to the geopolitical contexts of Dugin's Eurasianism. Perhaps the most important conclusion reached is that the war is not a border war between two states, but part of a broader civilizational conflict that reflects a deep-rooted geopolitical rivalry between two forces (land and sea) for control of the Eurasian geostrategic space and the definition of the international order.
