Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to examine how collaborative writing affects tenth-grade students' writing performance and attitudes toward writing in the context of the English for Palestine curriculum. The study addressed questions related to the effectiveness of collaborative writing in improving organization and accuracy, fostering motivation, building confidence and social relationships, promoting creativity, and supporting individual learning. Data were collected through peer observation, student feedback, analysis of written work, and semi-structured interviews. The findings indicated that the students viewed the collaborative approach as engaging and beneficial. The reciprocal teaching and jigsaw strategies employed for reading comprehension significantly improved students' writing outcomes. The results underscored the importance of teacher preparedness in grouping techniques and facilitating socially interactive and independent learning environments. Future research should examine the long-term impact of collaborative writing on different age groups, proficiency levels, and contexts. This research should also explore the role of technology and teacher training in implementing collaborative writing. ملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف مدى تأثير الكتابة التعاونية على أداء طلاب الصف العاشر الأساسي في مهارات الكتابة، بالإضافة إلى وجهات نظرهم تجاه الكتابة، وذلك في سياق منهاج اللغة الإنجليزية المخصص للطلاب الفلسطينيين في المدارس الحكومية. تناولت الدراسة أسئلة تتعلق بفعالية الكتابة التعاونية في تحسين التنظيم والدقة، وتعزيز الدافعية، وبناء الثقة والعلاقات الاجتماعية، وتشجيع الإبداع، ودعم التعلم الفردي. تم جمع البيانات من خلال أداة الملاحظة، وملاحظات وتعليقات الطلاب، بالإضافة إلى المقابلات. أشارت النتائج إلى أن نهج الكتابة التعاونية كان ممتعاً ومفيدًا؛ فقد أدت استراتيجيات التعليم المتبادل وألعاب الأحجية ( (Jigsaw المستخدمة في فهم المقروء إلى تحسين أداء الطلاب في مهارات الكتابة بشكل ملحوظ. كما أكدت الدراسة أهمية جاهزية المعلمين لاستخدام تقنيات التعلم، وتيسير بيئات تعلم تفاعلية ومستقلة. أوصت الدراسة بأن تستكشف البحوث المستقبلية التأثير طويل الأمد للكتابة التعاونية على فئات عمرية مختلفة، ومستويات كفاءة متنوعة، وفي سياقات تعليمية متعددة، إلى جانب أهمية دراسة دور التكنولوجيا وتدريب المعلمين في تنفيذ هذا النوع من الكتابة.
