إعادة تعريف الصحافة: قراءة نقدية لكتاب "ماهي دراسات الصحافة الرقمية؟" في ضوء نظريات الاتصال

الملخص
ملخص: تتناول هذه المراجعة بالنقد والتحليل كتاب "ماهي دراسات الصحافة الرقمية؟" (What Is Digital Journalism Studies?)، الصادر عن دار النشر المرموقة Routledge عام 2021 في 186 صفحة. ويُعد هذا الكتاب، الذي اشترك في تأليفه الخبيران البارزان ستين ستينسن (Steen Steensen) وأوسكار ويستلوند (Oscar Westlund)، مرجعاً علمياً أساسياً للباحثين المتخصصين في حقل الصحافة الرقمية، حيث تكمن أهميته في كونه لا يقتصر على دراسة الصحافة التي تُنتج وتُنشر رقمياً، بل يؤسس لمجال علمي متكامل مبني على تساؤلات تعيد النظر في المسلّمات التقليدية حول الإعلام والصحافة. وتقدم هذه المراجعة قراءة للكتاب في ضوء نظريات الاتصال، إذ يمكن اعتباره انعكاساً نقدياً لحالة هذه النظريات وتطورها في العصر الرقمي؛ فالتحولات التي يناقشها، مثل صعود المنصات وتأثير الخوارزميات، يمكن فهمها بعمق أكبر عند ربطها بنظريات كلاسيكية وحديثة كالحتمية التكنولوجية، وحارس البوابة في شكلها الخوارزمي الجديد، والاستخدامات والإشباعات، والنظرية البنائية لوسائل الإعلام. Abstract: This review critically analyzes the book "What Is Digital Journalism Studies?", published by the prestigious publisher Routledge in 2021 with 186 pages. The book, co-authored by the two prominent experts in this field, Steen Steensen and Oscar Westlund, is considered a fundamental scientific reference for researchers specializing in the field of digital journalism. Its importance lies in the fact that it not only studies journalism that is produced and published digitally but also establishes an integrated scientific field built on questions that reconsider the traditional assumptions about media and journalism. This review presents a reading of the book in light of communication theories, as it can be considered a critical reflection of the state of these theories and their evolution in the digital age. The transformations it discusses, such as the rise of platforms and the impact of algorithms, can be understood more deeply when linked to classical and modern theories such as Technological Determinism, the new algorithmic form of Gatekeeping, Uses and Gratifications, and the Constructivist Theory of media.
