الملخص
تتناول هذه الورقة البحثية دراسة تاريخية للوحدات العسكرية الرومانية في قلعة مسعد، الواقعة في إقليم ولاية الجلفة الحالية. تعتبر القلعة رمزاً عسكرياً مهماً، حيث كانت تُستخدم كنقطة استطلاع وحماية للحدود الجنوبية لمقاطعة نوميديا، التي تتداخل مع حدود موريطانيا القيصرية. تركز الدراسة أولاً على تاريخ بناء القلعة وخصائصها المعمارية، ثم تستعرض الوحدات العسكرية التي شاركت في تشييدها ودورها في المراقبة والاستقرار. سيتم تحليل الأهمية الاستراتيجية لموقع القلعة من خلال بعض المعطيات الأثرية والمواقع العسكرية المجاورة. كما تستعرض الورقة أسماء الوحدات العسكرية المرابطة في القلعة، مما يساعد في فهم تنظيم الحياة العسكرية بها. أخيراً، يتم التشديد على نوع الإمدادات الغذائية والتموينية التي كانت تُستخدم من قبل الجنود الرومان، وذلك لفهم عدد العسكريين المتواجدين في القلعة. This research paper presents a historical study of the Roman military units at the castle of M'Sila, located in the current jurisdiction of Djelfa Province. The castle is an important military symbol, as it was used as a scouting point and a defense structure for the southern borders of the province of Numidia, which overlaps with the borders of Mauretania Caesariensis. The study first focuses on the history of the castle's construction and its architectural characteristics, then reviews the military units that participated in its building and their roles in surveillance and stabilization. The strategic importance of the castle's location will be analyzed through archaeological data and neighboring military sites. The paper also examines the names of the military units stationed at the castle, which helps in understanding the organization of military life there. Finally, emphasis is placed on the type of food and supplies used by the Roman soldiers, to understand the number of military personnel present in the castle
