Abstract: The scientific and technical development and Progress That accompanied the twenty – first century provided many appropriate suggestion and solutions to many of problems That cities suffer from ; especially Our traditional cities and to improve the quality of human life and quality ; as well as to contribute to intellectual and cultural development to reach an integrated and solid infrastructure ; and this Is through working to adapt and develop local and urban areas and harnessing all technological and information means as communication and digital ; especially smart ones ; this Is what this research Paper aims to study by addressing the topic of smart cities and their role in achieving and embodying the goals of sustainable development through some mechanisms to achieve this goal.
