Abstract: Arabic linguistics has made significant contributions through its scholars, who have greatly enriched linguistic studies across various linguistic levels. They have left a substantial legacy reflected in their numerous and diverse works. Some authored texts on the history of language, serving historical linguistics, while others focused on comparing languages, providing impetus for comparative linguistics. Additionally, some highlighted the necessity of adhering to appropriate methodologies for studying and analyzing linguistic phenomena in general, and texts in particular. They wrote about methodologies such as historical, normative, descriptive, comparative, and contrastive approaches, all aimed at organizing linguistic research, its concepts, and terminologies within a broader methodological framework. Any research lacking a specific methodology may stray from scientific discourse and become disconnected from academic scientific research. Thus, modern Arabic linguists have taken up this task, notably linguist "Tammam Hassan," who enriched linguistic literature and study with alternative ideas and theories compared to those previously adopted by linguists. One of his most important works in this domain is the book "Research Methodologies in Language," where he elaborates on the methodologies employed in modern linguistic analysis, applying their levels to the Arabic language.
