This research investigates the intersection of linguistics and literature through the application of stylistic analysis, emphasizing how linguistic frameworks such as syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and phonology can enrich literary interpretation. By focusing on three distinct genres: poetry (The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot), prose (The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald), and drama (Macbeth by William Shakespeare). The study demonstrates how stylistic tools illuminate deeper layers of meaning, including themes, tone, characterization, and narrative techniques. The analysis underscores the versatility of stylistics in uncovering the intricate relationship between language and artistic expression. The research highlights the interdisciplinary value of stylistics as a bridge between the structural precision of linguistics and the creative, interpretive nature of literature. While stylistics provides a systematic framework, the study also acknowledges its limitations, particularly the need to balance linguistic analysis with the subjective and emotional dimensions of literary appreciation. Overall, the findings enrich our understanding of how linguistic and literary studies inform and complement each other, which offers valuable insights for both fields.
