Media And Exposing Zionist Violations An Analytical Study In Light Of The Palestinian Reality

Authors : Sahi Ali .

Abstract

This study seeks to analyse the role of the media in exposing Zionist violations against the Palestinian people, through an approach that combines communication and legal dimensions. It starts from the Palestinian reality characterised by war, siege and targeting of journalists and media institutions, to raise a fundamental question about the ability of local, Arab and international media to expose the practices of the occupation and shape global collective awareness of the Palestinian cause. The study relies on an analysis of media discourse and invokes international humanitarian law as a frame of reference for protection. It concludes that the Palestinian media represents a soft and effective tool of resistance in documenting crimes and violations, but that it still needs greater support and networking with human rights institutions to ensure that media efforts are transformed into an influential international pressure force.
