Digitization Of The Algerian Banking Sector As A Mechanism To Enhance Financial Inclusion :an Applied Study Of The Banking Sector In Jijel Province

Abstract
This study assesses the current state of digitalization within the Algerian banking sector in Jijel province and its contribution to enhancing financial inclusion. Employing a descriptive methodology, the study collected data through a questionnaire administered to (200) bank clients. Data analysis was performed statistically using SPSS V.26. The results indicate that the level of digitalization in financial and investment services, as well as digital Islamic finance, was low, while financial technology showed a moderate level. Regarding financial inclusion, access to and utilization of financial services were found to be low, with the quality of financial services being moderate. Furthermore, the study revealed a statistically significant impact (α≤0.05) of banking sector digitalization on promoting financial inclusion.The study concludes that the digitalization of the banking sector in Algeria, particularly in Jijel province, requires substantial efforts to achieve the desired level of financial inclusion.
