This study explores and sheds light on the language of Sufi discourse in the poetry of the Algerian poet Sheikh Ahmed bin Mustafa Al-Alawi Al-Mostaghanemi. It begins from the premise of the connection between Arabic poetry and orality (recitation) and listening, upon which the subtle music that shapes rhythmic resonance is based. The aim of the current research is to highlight the impact of word choice and the mechanisms of its use in generating meaning and achieving aesthetic value. The reader may observe that repetition at the lexical level is one of the prominent stylistic device in the poeticsamples analyzed;this repetition carries deepsemantic dimensions that require a unique cognitive interpretive effort. This effort brings out the meanings and enables communication and interaction with the discourse.
