The Algerian Experience In Enhancing Press Organization And Upholding Ethical Standards

Abstract

Algeria’s media sector aims to uphold journalistic ethics, focusing on access to news sources and accurate information. This will ensure quality public service and uphold codes of professional honor, protecting journalists from govermment censorship. The ethics of the written press in Algeria are similar to those in the Arab region, as the press has relinquished its news function and faces future challenges. This requires reconsideration of calculations and agendas to maintain the balance of power between media and communication in the Arab world.
