The inspection of information systems is one of the recently introduced judicial procedures aimed at searching for, seizing, copying, or restricting the use of electronic evidence in order to identify the perpetrators of cybercrimes resulting from the unlawful use of information and communication technologies and to establish their responsibility. This inspection targets automated data processing systems, their accessories, various electronic media, and networks, which may expose individuals’ electronic privacy to violation. Therefore, it is essential for the inspector to respect and adhere to the safeguards guaranteed by the Constitution, stipulated in international and regional conventions, and affirmed by Algerian law, in order to uphold the principle of procedural legitimacy
