Abstract
The tourism sector plays a vital role in economic, social, and cultural development worldwide. However, in Algeria, it remains underdeveloped despite the country's rich natural, cultural, and archaeological resources. The coastal city of Ténès in Chlef holds great potential due to its diverse terrain and numerous landmarks and attractions, capable of drawing both local and foreign tourists. Ténès enjoys national and international recognition, yet suffers from a serious lack of infrastructure. This shortfall hinders tourism growth and highlights the need for rational planning and adequate resources. Thus, key questions arise: What is the current state of heritage tourism in Ténès? What are the main challenges facing this sector, and what solutions are needed for its development?
