The study aims to shed light on the procedural framework of criminal reconciliation as an alternative means to resolve criminal disputes and to identify the legal aspects of its application mechanisms in Algerian criminal legislation. It also examines the challenges that arise during its implementation and proposes possible solutions to enhance the effectiveness of criminal reconciliation in reducing crime rates. This can be achieved by avoiding the delays in proceedings through a modern consensual approach based on simplified procedures that ensure swift justice, promote the status of the victim, rehabilitate the offender, and reintegrate them into society as productive and integrated individuals. Additionally, it works towards bridging the social divide, leading to the stability of human relationships beyond the confines of classical justice and ensuring a balance between providing opportunities for change and achieving justice.
