The Relationship Between Somatotype And Energy Utilization Efficiency During High And Low-intensity Exercise In Athletes

Authors : Bouaita Toufik .

Abstract

This study focuses on the relationship between somatotypes and energy efficiency in athletes, analyzing differences in anaerobic and aerobic efficiency across various somatotypes and exercise intensities. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, results confirmed a clear link between somatotype and metabolic efficiency. Ectomorphs excel in aerobic endurance, mesomorphs demonstrate overall superior energy efficiency, while endomorphs face challenges. This understanding enables coaches and nutritionists to design personalized programs for maximizing performance and minimizing risks.
