Cyberbullying: Social Problems And Practical Solutions

Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to investigate and analyze the problem of cyberbullying as a social phenomenon emerging from recent technological advancements and individuals’ increasing reliance on digital media. These developments have generated increasingly discernible multidimensional impacts, permeating societal structures through interpersonal behaviors that now threaten the stability of communities, individuals, and families. Although the psychological, intellectual, and physical consequences of cyberbullying—ranging from chronic distress to suicidal tendencies—may initially appear ambiguous, their persistence exacerbates the risks to victim’s well-being. The study concludes that, despite the escalating prevalence of cyberbullying, practical solutions exist and have been actively implementing by numerous governments, policymakers, and social media platforms. Such measures include short- and long-term strategies, encompassing awareness programs, technological interventions, and legislative frameworks, which collectively aim to curb these harmful practices, often classified as criminal offenses. الملخص نهدف من خلال هذه الدراسة معرفة مشكلة التنمر الالكتروني كظاهرة اجتماعية جاءت نتيجة التطور التكنولوجي الحديث و مواكبة الأفراد للرقمنة ، التي لم تمر دون ترك آثار تكاد تكون واضحة على عدة مستويات و أصعدة ، و باتت تفرض نفسها في المجتمع من خلال ممارسات الأفراد ضد بعضهم البعض ،و أصبحت من الظواهر التي تهدد استقرار المجتمع و الأفراد والأسر نظرا لما له من تأثيرات قد تكون غير واضحة في البداية إلا أن استمرارها يهدد صحة الضحية النفسية و الفكرية و الجسدية التي تصل في بعض الأحيان للانتحار ،و توصلت الدراسة أن هذه الظاهرة بالرغم تفاقمها إلا أنها لا تخلو من الحلول العملية التي باشرت الكثير من الدول و الحكومات و حتى تطبيقات شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في تطبيقها كحلول قصيرة أو بعيدة المدي للوقوف في وجه هذه الممارسات التي تصل أحيانا حد الجرائم ،من خلال برامج و قوانين ساهمت في التقليل من حدة انتشارها
