Theoretical Concepts Of Training Literary Translators

Abstract
With the growing number of academic translation programs worldwide, there have been many systematic attempts toward a methodological approach to teaching literary translation. The present paper attempts to propose a teaching model toward literary translation that would contribute to students’ building a strong theoretical basis on the translation phenomenon. The research methodology employed is theoretical exploration, focusing on concepts such as carnivalism, the reading and interpretation stages in literary translation, prospective and retrospective seeing in literature. The fundamental conclusion drawn is that a theoretical approach to literary translation is intricately connected to the act of literature translation.
