This study investigates the utilization of mobile applications for mental preparation among elite Algerian athletes, examining patterns of use, perceived psychological benefits, and existing barriers. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to nationally and internationally ranked athletes. Findings indicate that a limited but growing number of high-level athletes incorporate digital tools—particularly for relaxation, stress regulation, and pre-competition focus enhancement. However, adoption remains hindered by insufficient digital literacy, the lack of culturally and linguistically adapted content, and a prevailing reliance on direct psychological support from professionals. The study highlights the importance of integrating mobile mental training tools into elite sport preparation programs and recommends the development of localized applications tailored to the cognitive and emotional demands of Algerian high-performance athletes.
