Abstract
Abstract: This study addresses the opportunities and challenges facing human resource management in remote work environments, focusing on GitLab as a role model. The study relied on a descriptive analytical approach to understand and analyze data related to GitLab’s customers in terms of products and services, geographic size, and organizational size. SWOT analysis was used to assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results demonstrated GitLab’s strength in targeting advanced technology sectors such as software development and machine learning, reflecting its ability to provide innovative services that meet the needs of these sectors. However, challenges emerged in geographic expansion, especially in emerging markets such as India and Brazil, as well as in expanding the customer base among small and medium-sized enterprises compared to large companies. The study provided recommendations to enhance organizational performance, including developing comprehensive marketing strategies, focusing on emerging markets, and using advanced technologies to improve administrative processes. Keywords: Personnel Management; Human Resource Management; Remote Work; SWOT analysis; GitLab JEL Classification Codes: J24; M12; L86; M54; O33 ملخص: تتناول هذه الدراسة الفرص والتحديات التي تواجه إدارة الموارد البشرية في بيئات العمل عن بعد، مع التركيز على GitLab كنموذج يحتذى به. اعتمدت الدراسة على منهج تحليلي وصفي لفهم وتحليل البيانات المتعلقة بعملاء شركة GitLab من حيث المنتجات والخدمات، الحجم الجغرافي، وحجم المؤسسة. تم استخدام تحليل SWOT لتقييم نقاط القوة والضعف، الفرص والتهديدات. أظهرت النتائج قوة GitLab في استهداف قطاعات التكنولوجيا المتقدمة مثل تطوير البرمجيات والتعلم الآلي، مما يعكس قدرتها على تقديم خدمات مبتكرة تلبي احتياجات هذه القطاعات. ومع ذلك، برزت تحديات في التوسع الجغرافي، وخاصة في الأسواق الناشئة مثل الهند والبرازيل، وكذلك في توسيع قاعدة العملاء بين الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحجم مقارنة بالشركات الكبيرة. قدمت الدراسة في الأخير مجموعة من التوصيات لتعزيز الأداء التنظيمي، كتطوير استراتيجيات تسويق شاملة، التركيز على الأسواق الناشئة، واستخدام التقنيات المتقدمة لتحسين العمليات الإدارية. كلمات مفتاحية: إدارة الأفراد، إدارة الموارد البشرية، العمل عن بعد ، تحليل SWOT ، شركة GitLab تصنيفات JEL: J24، M12 ،L86، M54، O33
