Abstract

Self-regulated learning is a process in which the learner is able to organize their learning by monitoring their performance, setting goals, and applying appropriate strategies. This concept relies on the interaction of cognitive, motivational, and behavioral processes. One of the prominent models addressing this concept is Pintrich's model, which focuses on four main components: planning, performance monitoring, self-motivation, and reflective thinking. This model contributes to enhancing the learner's independence and improving academic performance. Despite its benefits, questions remain about how to effectively apply it in diverse educational environments. Understanding the impact of environmental and cultural factors on the success of these strategies is of critical importance.
