Abstract: Arabic heritage has received great attention from Arab linguists, and when we talk about heritage we mean the linguistic works left by the ancients. Many linguistic ideas that seem novel at first glance have indications and parallels in Arabic linguistic research, and this highlights the scholar "Abd Al-Rahman Al-Hadj Salah" in his project, "Modern Khalilian Theory", he showed that there is an authentic Arabic grammar and limited it to the first four centuries of the Hijra. It is based on logical-mathematical concepts and was developed by Al-Khalil and his student Sibawayh. Every time Sibawayh said "he said" or "he mentioned" and he added nothing aimed at his teacher Al-Khalil. There are more than six hundred sayings of Al-Khalil in the book of Sibawayh, which is not a small number, and it is in fact a second theory, because it is a research and 'an exploration of the concepts of early Khalilian theory, and an attempt to compare it with what modern Western linguistics has proposed, and among these concepts are: Separation and Initiation, Grammatical Integrity and Approval, Position and null relationship, singular and word limit, putting and using. In this article, we attempt to compare the status and usage between Sibawayh and de Saussure, noting the similarities and differences, relying on description and analysis.
