الملخص
الملخص باللغة العربية: تعتبر كتب الرحالة والعسكريين الفرنسيين في القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي مصادر بالغة الأهمية للباحثين المهتمين بتاريخ منطقة الأغواط. فهي تزخر بانطباعات وملاحظات عميقة ومفصلة حول مختلف جوانب الحياة في هذه المنطقة، كما تنفرد بتسجيل دقيق للعديد من التفاصيل الصغيرة والهامة. إلى جانب ذلك تناولت هذه الكتابات مواضيع متنوعة وقدمت معلومات قيّمة حول الخصائص المعمارية للمنطقة، التي احتلت مكانة بارزة في تقارير هؤلاء الرحالة والعسكريين. الذين درسوا مخططات القصور في المنطقة وفصلوا في المنشآت المعمارية المدنية والدينية والعسكرية، إضافة إلى مواضيع أخرى تتعلق بالعمران بشكل. عام ومع ذلك ولتحقيق استفادة علمية حقيقية من هذه النصوص، يتعين على الباحث إخضاعها للنقد التاريخي الدقيق. فهذه المصادر ليست خالية من العيوب؛ إذ كانت كتبت في الأساس لخدمة الأهداف الاستعمارية وتسهيل مهمتها .كما أنها قد تحتوي على جانب من الخيال، إلى جانب هيمنة الطابع الشخصي والانطباعات الذاتية على بعضها، بل وأحياناً تظهر فيها ملامح من التعصب أو الاستعلاء تجاه العنصر الجزائري. Abstract: The books of French travelers and soldiers in the nineteenth century are considered very important sources for researchers interested in the history of the Laghouat region. They are full of deep and detailed impressions and observations about various aspects of life in this region, and they are unique in their accurate recording of many small and important details. In addition, these writings dealt with various topics and provided valuable information about the architectural characteristics of the region, which occupied a prominent place in the reports of these travelers and soldiers. They studied the plans of the palaces in the region and analyzed the civil, religious and military architectural structures, in addition to other topics related to urban planning in general. However, to achieve real scientific benefit from these texts, the researcher must subject them to accurate historical criticism. These sources are not without flaws; they were written primarily to serve colonial goals and facilitate their mission. They may also contain an aspect of imagination, in addition to the dominance of personal character and subjective impressions in some of them, and sometimes they show features of fanaticism or arrogance
