This study explores Duolingo's effectiveness as a language-learning platform through a survey of 109 users. Findings indicate Duolingo excels at vocabulary acquisition and engagement through gamification. However, it falls short in developing advanced skills like fluency and grammar. Key challenges include repetitive content and limited speaking practice. Users value its accessibility and microlearning design. Recommendations include enhanced speaking exercises, advanced lessons, and culturally relevant content. The study concludes Duolingo is best used as a supplementary learning tool.
