Illegal migration has become a growing concern for the international community, presenting serious challenges to state security and stability. In response, governments, international organizations, NGOs, and regional security bodies have adopted various strategies to address this issue, including legal measures, institutional mechanisms, and cooperative frameworks. This study aims to explore the international standards developed to combat illegal migration while focusing on Algeria's efforts in this context. It analyzes international treaties, partnership agreements, bilateral cooperation frameworks, and Algeria's national legislation to address this phenomenon. Furthermore, the research investigates the challenges and obstacles that hinder the development of a comprehensive and effective solution to this pressing global issue. By shedding light on these complexities, the study seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of illegal migration and to propose strategies that align with international standards and best practices for managing migration-related challenges.
