ملخص: وضع الخليل بن أحمد أصولَ مصطلحاتِ العروض وسائرِ فنونِ نَظْمِ الشعر العربي العتيق - من وحي البيئة البدوية وعاداتها الثقافية الاجتماعية التي أَلِفَهَا العربيُّ الصريح في الجاهلية خاصة؛ إِلْفًا ظهرتْ آثارُه بجلاء في مرآة سلوكه اللغوي، ونزوعه البياني. وقد كانت تلك البيئةُ - في صورتها وتشكيلها - غايةً في البساطة، ولكنَّها من حيث تكوينُها الاجتماعي، وعمقُها النفسي - ذاتُ أبعاد شديدة التعقيد، ويمكن أن نكشفَ عن بعضِ دلالتِها، وأن نَفْهَم طبيعةَ بُنَاها - من خلال حقلين معرفيين متكاملين: اللغويات، والأنثروبولوجيا. Abstract: Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad laid the foundational principles for the terminology of prosody and the arts of versification in classical Arabic poetry; the principles that are deeply inspired by the Bedouin environment and its cultural and social customs, as known by the authentic Arab, particularly in the pre-Islamic era. The impact of these customs was clearly reflected in linguistic behavior and rhetorical inclinations. Though simple in its form and composition, this This environment, has extremely complex dimensions in terms of social structure and psychological depth, was marked by profound complexity in its social structures and psychological depth. A deeper understanding of its significance and structural nature may be attained through two complementary fields of knowledge: linguistics and anthropology
