نظرية التعريف في اللسانيات العامة * بين المقاربة التجريبية الغربية والتحليل المنطقي العربي*

الملخص
يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة نظرية التعريف كما قدمها أوجدن وريتشاردز في الفلسفة الغربية الحديثة، ومقارنتها بمفهوم التعريف عند فلاسفة العرب؛ وخصوصًا ابن سينا والفارابي. تم ذلك باعتماد المنهج التحليلي المقارن، حيث تم تحليل نصوص كل من أوجدن وريتشاردز والفلاسفة العرب، ومقارنة أسسهم النظرية في تحديد المعنى. يعتمد البحث على تحليل البيانات النصية المستخرجة من أعمال الفلاسفة المذكورين، وذلك باستخدام منهجية تحليل المضمون لاستكشاف أوجه التشابه والاختلاف بين النظريتين. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن أوجدن وريتشاردز يركزان على الطبيعة الديناميكية للمعنى من خلال المثلث الدلالي، بينما يعتمد الفارابي وابن سينا على مقاربة منطقية تستند إلى الحدّ والرسم. كما أظهرت النتائج أن السياق والتفاعل الاجتماعي يلعبان دورًا أساسيًا في تشكيل المعاني، مما يجعل النظريتين على الرغم من اختلافهما يتقاطعان في بعض الجوانب المتعلقة بالسياقية في تحديد الدلالة. This research aims to study the theory of definition as presented by Ogden and Richards in modern Western philosophy and compare it with the concept of definition among Arab philosophers, particularly Ibn Sina and Al-Farabi. This was conducted using the comparative analytical method, where the texts of Ogden, Richards, and Arab philosophers were analyzed, and their theoretical foundations in defining meaning were compared. The research relies on textual data analysis extracted from the works of the mentioned philosophers, using content analysis methodology to explore similarities and differences between the two theories. The study found that Ogden and Richards focus on the dynamic nature of meaning through the semantic triangle, while Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina adopt a logical approach based on "ḥadd" (definition by essence) and "rasm" (definition by description). The results also showed that context and social interaction play a fundamental role in shaping meanings, making the two theories—despite their differences—intersect in certain aspects related to contextuality in determining meaning.
