Technological Change Resistance Among Employees Using The Technology Acceptance Model: A Case Study Of Sonatrach

Abstract
The main objective of this study was to investigate the phenomenon of resistance to technological change in terms of the Technology Acceptance Model. To accomplish this, a field study was conducted at “Sonatrach”, specifically at the branch of Boumerdes, where 35 questionnaires were distributed, resulting in 33 completed responses. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, and supplemented by insights that were provided by personal interviews. The findings reveal a significant positive correlation between how easy technology is perceived to use and employees’ actual behaviors (whether resisting or accepting technological change). Furthermore, a strong correlation was found between the perceived benefits of using technology and employees’ actual behaviors.
