الملخص
: شغل موضوع المعتقد الشعبي فكر العديد من العلماء والباحثين والأنثروبولوجيين – قديما وحديثا- من حيث منشؤها وتداولها ،وما تحمله من معاني ودلالات ، وعوامل تطورها وانتشارها في أنحاء المعمورة ، وقد نالت اهتمام المستشرقين في ميدان الثقافة الشعبية أثناء حملتهم الاستعمارية لبلاد العرب والمسلمين ،و تنوعت أهدافهم في ذلك بين ثقافية وعلمية واحتلالية ، فبعد التعرّف على لغات ومعتقدات وعادات تلك المناطق معرفة دقيقة تُقدَّم بعدها تقارير استخباراتية للمحتل يوظُّفها في تغلغله للمنطقة ،وتجنّب الاصطدام مع أهلها وتثبيت أقدامه على أرضها بأقل الخسائر. . Abstract: The topic of popular belief has occupied the minds of many scholars, researchers and anthropologists - ancient and modern - in terms of its origin, the meanings and connotations it carries, and the factors of its development and spread throughout the world. It has received the attention of Orientalists in the field of popular culture during their colonial campaign in the Arab and Muslim countries. Although they had cultural and scientific goals, the main motive for them was to get to know the languages, beliefs and customs of those regions with precise knowledge, so that intelligence reports could then be presented to the occupier to use in his penetration of the region, avoiding collision with its people, and establishing his foothold on its land with the least losses
