The ability to obtain reimbursement from travel insurance without the necessity of submitting a claim, to access seasonal accommodation without the involvement of intermediaries as a result of the use of connected flats, and to be guaranteed payment for a specific service are all examples of the ways in which technology is transforming the way in which we interact with the world around us. The aforementioned possibilities are made possible by the advent of technology, particularly blockchain contracts, which are commonly referred to as smart contracts. They are the computer translation in the blockchain of a contractual commitment to ensure their automatic execution. The blockchain is a database in which all exchanges and transactions carried out by users are recorded from the beginning. It is distributed and can be consulted free of charge. The smart contract is not a novel concept; however, with the advent of blockchain technology, it is undergoing a transformation that may challenge traditional notions of contract law. This study aims to examine the impact of smart contracts on contract law.
