الملخص
تتناول هذه الدراسة موضوع التنافس الاستعماري في أعالي النيل حادثة فاشودة 1898م، نموذجا حيث تطرقت في ثنايا هذه الدراسة للمخططات الفرنسية، وكذا الإنجليزية من اجل بناء إمبراطوريات استعمارية داخل إفريقيا، ثم تطرقت للأوضاع العامة في السودان، وقد ركزت على التصادم الفرنسي الانجليزي في أزمة فاشودة بدراسة الأزمة ونتائجها، وفي الأخير أشرت للمساعي الدبلوماسية التي ساهمت في الانفراج السلمي للازمة، وختمت هذه الدراسة بجملة من النتائج. كما تهدف هذه الورقة البحثية إلى كشف حيثيات التنافس الفرنسي البريطاني شرق إفريقيا، وانعكاس ذلك على الأطراف المتنازعة. This study talks about the subject of colonial competition in the Upper Nile through the incident of Fachoda 1898, where we talked about the French plans, as well as the English to control Sudan before the crisis, and then we talked about the general situation in Sudan, and we focused on the French-English collision and this is what we referred to in the element of the meeting Fachoda and the occurrence of the crisis, and in the end we referred to the diplomatic efforts that contributed to the peaceful détente for it, and in conclusion we referred to a number of observations and results on the subject. This paper aims to clarify the reasons for the French-British rivalry in East Africa, and its reflection on the conflicting parties
