Effects Of Health And Education Public Spending On Human Development In Chad

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine the effects of health and education public spending on human development in Chad. We used the autoregressive distributed lag model and data sourced from World Bank and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) spanning the period 1990 to 2022. The findings reveal that health and education public expenditures have a significant positive effect on human development in Chad. Based on these results, it is recommended that, alongside the implementation of effective policies in these sectors, public spending on health and education be increased, in line with the 2030 education agenda and the Abuja declaration for health. الهدف من هذه الورقة هو تحليل آثار الإنفاق العام للصحة والتعليم على التنمية البشرية في تشاد. استخدمنا نموذج التأخر الموزع الانحداري الذاتي والبيانات الواردة من البنك الدولي وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (UNDP) التي تغطي الفترة من 1990 إلى 2022. أظهرت النتائج أن الإنفاق العام في مجال الصحة والتعليم لهما تأثير إيجابي كبير على التنمية البشرية في تشاد. وبناء على هذه النتائج، يوصى بزيادة الإنفاق العام على الصحة والتعليم، بالإضافة إلى تنفيذ سياسات فعالة في هذه القطاعات، بما يتماشى مع خطة التعليم لعام 2030 وإعلان أبوجا للصحة.
