Ramallah And Al-bireh High School Students’ Exam Worry Based On Students’ Perspectives

Abstract

Abstract The study aims at revealing the level of exam worry and its relation with high school students’ exam results in Ramallah and Al-Bireh District and and how exam results are influenced by gender variation (case study ). The study problem is represented in the following question : Is there a connection between exam worry and high school students’ exam results in Ramallah and Al-Bireh District? The two researchers conducted this study through the analytical, descriptive methodology. The focused group of this study consisted of all male and female high school students in Ramallah and Al-Bireh District; the total number is (4393) divided into (1894) males and (2544) females. The case study consisted of (264) male and female students. The case study has been used to measure exam worry. ملخص تهدف الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى قلق الاختبـار وعلاقتـه بالتحصيل الدراسي لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في مدارس محافظة رام الله والبيرة، وأثر متغير الجنس في قلق الاختبار لدى الطلبة عينة الدراسة. وتتمثل إشكالية الدراسة في محاولة الإجابة عن السؤال المركزي التالي: هل توجد علاقة ارتباطية بين قلق الامتحان والتحصيل الدراسي لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية في مدارس محافظة رام الله والبيرة. وقد استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة. تكوّن مجتمع الدراسة من جميع طلاب وطالبات المرحلة الثانوية فـي مـدارس محافظة رام الله والبيرة، والبـالغ عـددهم (4393) طالبا وطالبة، منهم (1894) طالباً، و(2544) طالبةً، وبلغت العينة (264) طالباً وطالبة. وتم استخدام الاستبانة لقياس قلق الاختبار.
