The Right To Human Dignity And Moral Integrity In The Workplace: Between The Idealism Of Laws And The Harshness Of Reality

Authors : Bennour Souad .

Abstract

Most legal systems mandate that work should occur under conditions that respect workers' dignity, requiring employers to uphold the dignity of their employees. Employers are obligated to take necessary steps to protect workers' dignity, ensure appropriate conduct, and maintain public decency within the institution. This approach aims to affirm the worker's dignity, recognizing that, as a human being, the worker should not be exploited. Decent work has become crucial to the modern development of any nation, and the right to work is now fully realized only when it includes conditions that protect dignity amid expanding freedoms and collective rights.
