Abstract
This study aimed to clarify some concepts related to the subject of e-governance and to try to remove the ambiguity that exists among many people about the subjects of e-administration, e-government, and e-governance, then to study the reality of e-governance in Algeria by addressing the need to achieve e-administration comprehensively and move to e-government because they are considered the necessary basis for its operation or application, and this is by presenting the progress achieved in its various indicators according to international organizations and the stages of completing its maturity to know the level that has been reached and to address the most important prospects and challenges in order to embody electronic governance.
