The aim of this study is to examine the effects of tourism liberalization on tourism industry revenues in a sample of North African countries. By opening up the tourism industry. to both foreign and domestic investments, liberalization can stimulate growth, development, and an increase in tourism demand, ultimately enhancing tourism revenues. To analyze the relationship between the study variables, a panel cointegration model was employed, incorporating both time series and cross-sectional data. The analysis was conducted using EViews 12 software. The findings indicate the absence of a long-term relationship between tourism liberalization and revenue growth, with the connection being limited to the short term, where tourism openness has a notable impact on revenues. The results also show significant disparities in tourism potential across the North African countries, with varying degrees of openness. Egypt demonstrates a high level of openness compared to Tunisia, while Algeria's tourism sector is still in its early stages, limiting demand and revenue generation in the sector.
